Cavitation Inducer with Ultrasound

Sector:
Engineering

Countries covered/Status:
UK and US Patents Granted, European Patents Filed.

Description and Applications:
This invention relates to the treatment of a liquid, primarily water, for purification purposes.

There are many instances where a liquid needs treatment to remove dissolved gases or destroy contaminating organisms. The former is usually achieved solely by the use of ultrasound on static liquids, which is expensive and therefore has a limited use, whilst the latter has required large scale plant with treatment by chemical agents.

Our elegantly simple cavitation system provides a device for treating a continuously moving liquid using low pressure hydrodynamic cavitation. The device has no moving parts and uses no chemicals to achieve acceptable micro-organism kill rates for purification of water in either single pass or continuous state operation. Current uses are in the waste water treatment sector and building air-conditioning systems.
